This years Senior trip was taken to Branson, MO. We started the trip off early Wednesday morning on March 11th. We left bright eyed and excited that this time in high school had finally came! Ever since we were freshman we have talked about where we wanted to go, and what we wanted to do. We had done lots of fundraiser to get us to go on our trip.
Wednesday afternoon we arrived in Springfield and went the the Fantastic Under Ground Caves. They were a lot of fun and a great way to kick off our trip.
From there we went to Lambert's ( house of the thrown rolls) and that was quite an experience for those who have never gone. Usually most wait staff don't run around the building screaming "HOT ROLLS" and throw them at your face and expect you to catch them!
Our first day was full of excitement as we traveled to Branson from Lamberts and got all settled in our HUGE 6 bedroom 5 bath house. Us small town kids aren't used to such a big house, so of course we had to play hide-an-seek with the lights off! After lots of laughs and memories we called it a night.
Thursday we spent the day getting an old-time photo, going to the Castle of Chaos, Hannah's mirror maze, and the Hollywood Wax Museum. That night we went to the Branson Landing strip mall, (outside mall) in the pouring rain. We ended up soaking wet cold and had hurting feet so about 10 pm we called it another night.
With the days going all to fast we woke up Friday and realized it was pouring rain! We were ambitious and determined to have fun and we decided the weather wasn't going to stop us from having a good time. We rode go karts and bumper cars in the pouring rain! It was a blast because the track wasn't that busy and we had an all day pass to ride as many times as we wanted. Needless to say, we wore the tires off of some of those karts!
Saturday came our last day of our trip. We went to Silver Dollar City and rode rides, looked at the attractions and ate way to much. Finally it was time to head home, but not before a Good-Will shopping stop in Ozark, MO.
After four short days of fun, we were Longton bound. After many laughs, honks from truckers, and signs from the girls... I think I can speak for all of us that went...IT WAS A GREAT TIME! We all came back with a FULL stomach and maybe a few pounds heavier!
